Just because he happens to agree with us on the War and the Patriot act does not forgive the 95% of the things he says that I am on the opposite side of.

I guess I would say he has a tiny, shiny, sane facet on a large stone of stupid libertarian nonsense.

people who think he's great, that he's dead wrong on pretty much everything under the sun, except the war. The use of "side" was poor word choice, I should have said something along the lines of: once again we see the craziness of Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is right about the Federal Reserve (although I disagree with his solutions to that problem also) and he's right about our foreign policy. The problem is that he's not wrong about everything else...he's so completely Batsh|t crazy, devoid of reality on every other issue that it's hard to really take anything he says seriously...he's a whack job!

I thought Ayn Rand was a visionary too...when I was 14. Then I grew up and realized that she was a selfish, crazy hypocritical bitch with a gigantic agenda that involved huge amounts of money! Libertarianism needs to go the way of the Whigs (as does modern Republicanism, I may add).

Fkn, gdmd important, that, if left unchecked, they will destroy this country and maybe the planet...add to that an end to the drug wars and 0, we have a problem. 0 is doubling down on all these issues sailing this country's ship of fools right off the edge of the earth.

The question is; will Paul's near overwhelming bad side be seen by Independents and the majority of voters as outnumbering those incredibly important sane parts.

We are still in the land of lesser of evils meme and it now may become a triple edged sword.

Paul's loony side: Idiocy on civil rights...idiocy on safety nets...shortsighted idiocy on just about everything else.

Paul's sane side: Ending all wars, including the drug wars...ending the dastardly patriot act... a fairer broker in the Arab world and a few others.

Put these things on a scale.

We have to face reality...Ron Paul will be a difficult wall for 0 to overcome; if he is the nom, as will Romney, for, like 0, when after the primaries, he turns into a liberal candidate disavowing all his conservative stances , which he will as does 0 when elections roll around...

Loonier toons like Gingrich and his ilk will be gods gift and a shoo in for 0, as he will walk right over them. 0, more than any of them, understands the value of synthetic lubrication with Mittens, a rabbits breath behind.

Ron Paul, as crazy as he is, is correct some of the time.
Not that I support him in any way, he is so wrong on so many issues. He's a bigot, and a tool of the corporations.

If we stay home in droves, over individual policy points, that statement can come true.

Yes, we need to encourage Obama forward on pieces of policy like ending the wars, all of them, and closing Gitmo, etc, but come the election, we DO need to count our wins, and rally around the President. Or, what Paul just said will become reality.

You want a President Gingrich? That piece of shit just got in the race to sell his stupid book, I sure as hell don't want him in the white house.

The majority of the Republican field are scary. Thank God its the last debate. Historically speaking, its an embarrassment. Its a shame the debates were recorded as they are an embarrassment to a nation. Cheering for the death penalty, booing gay soldiers in Iraq, and other idiotic antics during the Tea Party debates were reminiscent of something out of the Weimar Republic pre Hitler.

Although, Ron Paul is a strong candidate for liberty.

I sort of agree with you. However, as they exhale, they'd be in a better position if they didn't involve their vocal chords!
