Did we learn anything from Iraq?

[youtube]

On the heels of Rachel Maddow's "Hubris," Gil Smart wonders if the nation learned anything from the Iraq debacle - or whether we'll be just as eager to rush into the next dumb war.

I knew in the first week of Bush's presidency that he was dying to get into another war with Iraq, and after 9/11 I was seeing the writing on the wall.

It wasn't until several years later that I first became aware of that quote by Hermann Goering- and it totally blew me away. Read that quote and think back to 2003. It's like a blueprint for the way the Bush Administration handled the war; right down to Dick Cheney comparing anti-war factions to Nazi appeasers and terrorist sympathizers.

erroneous (ok, false) information about WMD and then referencing the same sources in their speeches to the US people. I don't know if she was paid but the whole thing has a criminal aroma about it.
