That Second Civil War we keep talking about, actually started about 12 or 13 years ago

and it's happening now.

https://signalpress.blogspot.com/2023/05/the-invasion-of-pure-evil-that-is.html

We have tended to imagine a second civil war in this country in the same way that the first one materialized. I would place the start date around 2010, when Republicans, following Limbaugh's blueprint, took advantage of Democrats sitting out a mid-term election to put themselves in position to gerrymander state legislative districts and congressional districts in as many as 30 of the 50 states, to secure for themselves what had been an illusive majority. The relentless attack continues as county supervisor boards, school boards, city councils and other levels of government are captured.

The attack on the integrity of the election process, which actually began when Trump was nominated the first time, and claimed that if Hillary Clinton won, it could only be because of massive voter fraud, is another front of this civil war. I heard a radio pundit, one of Limbaugh's wannabees, outlining the ways that President Obama could stop Trump from getting to the White House, including mentioning that then Vice-President Biden only needed to find a way to get alternative electors into place, or declare martial law on some pretense of "national emergency," and simply stop the inauguration.

The judiciary has been targeted and everywhere and every time Republicans are in charge of appointing judges, they find the most extremists they can gather. It's difficult, though not impossible, to find Ivy League-trained judges who will set aside the law to legislate conservative issues from the bench, so they are relying, increasingly, on those trained in the law schools operated by white Christian nationalists like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, both of whom controlled universities that cranked out high volumes of law student graduates with the goal of packing courts with them. Look at their resumes. Many of those appointed by Republicans at the state and federal level, even with advanced law degrees from the Ivy League, or places like Stanford or some of the more liberal state universities got their JD from schools like Liberty or Regent.

If you can convince the lowest White man..et al. Obama made them feel inferior to a Black man for the first time in their lives. They hate Biden because to them he is a "Race Traitor"

The bottom-feeders in Redneck Wonderland went berserk that historic November evening, and never recovered. They’ve spent every moment since making our world a living Hell.

Evangelical Christian churches and denominations were early battlefronts. Abortion, and LGBTQ rights are single issues that activate voters, but Christian nationalism has always been simmering beneath the surface. The susceptibility of Christian churches to infiltration by deceivers who know the lingo and how to "baptize" an agenda and make it appear as part of the gospel itself goes back to the early church. One of the early Apostles, Jude, wrote an epistle warning about intruders who would bring in destructive heresy in the form of false doctrine, tempting leaders with political influence. In spite of hair-raising immorality and corruption, many Christians abandon the principles of the Christian gospel and throw Jesus under the bus in their support for Trumpism.

Putin is behind it....just like he did Brexit for Practice. He wants the U.S. broken up as revenge for the fall of the USSR.....and he wants our status as Super Power diminished by Civil War

We are at the Stochastic Terrorism phase. Make Americans afraid of leaving home an believing there are way more of them than there are. Just like Hitler did.

10. 1971. Powell Memorandum
Sun May 7, 2023, 10:15 PM
May 2023

Future Justice Lewis Powell prepared a memorandum at the request of the US Chamber of Commerce on how to fight the insurgencies of the 60s. Corporations felt threatened for the first time since FDR.
https://www.whitehouse.senate.gov/news/speeches/the-scheme-1-the-powell-memo

Madam President, there is a scheme afoot, a scheme I will be talking about in weeks ahead – a long-running, right-wing scheme to capture the Supreme Court.

Special interests are behind the scheme. They control it through dark money – hundreds of millions of dollars in anonymous hidden spending. We will dwell in later speeches on how the scheme operates. This first speech seeks its origins.

snip
Anti-war protesters derided Dow Chemical Company's manufacture of napalm and scorned the entire military-industrial complex. Women's rights protesters challenged all-male corporate management structures. The environmental movement protested chemical leaks, toxic products, and the poisons belching from corporate smokestacks. Public health groups began linking the tobacco industry to deadly illnesses, and lead paint companies to brain damage in children.

snip
A new client of his, the Washington, DC-based U.S. Chamber of Commerce, asked Powell for his help. The Chamber commissioned from Powell a secret report, a strategic plan for reasserting corporate authority over the political arena.

The secret Powell report, titled “Attack on American Free Enterprise System,” was telling.

snip
This was, Powell asserted, “quite new in [American history].” “Business and the enterprise system are in deep trouble,” he wrote, “and the hour is late.”

The Memorandum spells out a long-term plan to defeat the anti-corporate forces. Much of what it recommends read like today's headlines.

In 2015, Jimmy Carter said the US is an oligarchy. The oligarchs have patience enabled by generational wealth to seize and hold political and economic power in the US. Coupled with Nixon's Southern Strategy, this document provided the foundational plan for the next several generations, a plan to undo the advances made in democracy. I would call this the revival of the Civil War, which never really ended (Reconstruction ended).

11. We need to get the media.
Sun May 7, 2023, 10:38 PM
May 2023

The media runs on advertising revenue which is based on eyes. Tumult gets the most eyes. Think rubberneckers in the southbound lanes slowing to watch the tumult in the north bound accident.

We need to frame the stories about the tumult caused by republican accidents.

Let me give you an example how it works today.

In Florida, we get tumultuous weather pretty regularly. It destroys people's lives.

The media covers the event, but not the aftermath because they want people to move here and tourist here.

If you read or heard about the stories about how Mexico Beach is far from its heyday or the complications about rebuilding in Southwest Lee and Charlotte counties you'd think twice about putting a chunk of money into something that requires expensive insurance. You'd wonder why the insurance is so high.

The Chamber of Commerce would be all over any one who is talking about this reality.

Who in their right mind wants to move to Texas where you can die with a problematic pregnancy while being shot in a mall?

This is serious stuff and scary and the media should be all over it, but isn't.

It isn't because we are not controlling or framing like the republicans are. We don't have the machinery in place like they do.

It is not us, but if we want to survive we have to take advantage of the tools at our disposal.

I'm reading "Wager." We are shipwrecked.

The gun story is our best, maybe our last, opportunity to take control, by smacking the media upside the head.

They never ask follow up questions of the success of prayers. They never ask why god let some people only get wounded while others die. They never call out these a__holes because they want a second interview with an a__hole?

Chuck Todd explained why he wouldn't call out his interview because he might not get a second one.
His bosses didn't want to insult Ted Cruz. Even Texans hate Ted Cruz.

Well we stopped paying attention to Todd and NBC lets him placate the right, but now my rightie friends hate Chuck because he pushes his interviews. Even he knows how the wind blows.

We need to push our representatives to call out the media. We need to pepper the GM's of our media to get more out of their interviews.

We are not going to change Wall Street unless profit is at stake. Fox proves that.

The class seperation started when Reagan screwed the air traffic controllers. We as a nation and even as proud union members didn't shutdown the country in their defense. That gave the right the green light to escalate the war on the middle class.

I went on one of my insane diatribes and penned an essay about American Civil War Version 2.0 (ACW V2.0) 3 days before George Floyd was murdered.
It's long and I am sure there is much missing that could be amended to it. When I wrote it I surmised that the upcoming election would be our second Gettysburg.

We won and now hopefully we have the advantage and can defeat the republicans/confederates once and for all.

mainly red state Democrats who just don't vote any more, active and moving again. There are enough of them to make a huge difference.

But the key is getting Trump indicted and convicted for every crime he committed January 6th and in the document scandal. He must be removed from being the GOP nominee. Can't have that option open, he must be behind bars long before November 2024. Otherwise, we have a constitution and a system of laws that has failed, regardless of who is elected.
