The stink from Ducey's $200 million shipping container border wall just got a little stinkier

Its bad enough that former Gov. Doug Duceys silly container wall on the border the one on which migrants posed as they hopped over it and slipped through it cost the state more than $100 million to build.
Bad enough that its costing us another $100 million, just a few months later, to take the thing down and haul it away.
But you know whats just plain sad? Ducey apparently couldnt find any Arizona company capable of doing the work.
Instead, the Ducey administration brought in a Florida disaster management company to do the work one that donated (illegally) to a pro-Trump super PAC.
One that snagged the job in a no-bid contract.

(5,803 posts)and there are enough stupid, ignorant fools in this state to vote him in.
If the 'Murican people were not so ignorant and not so propagandized, he wouldn't have pulled this sh*t.
Unbelievable.
I'm in a particularly sour mood because I just got an official Medicare piece of mail that has the name of a private, for-profit company as the one who now handles this part of Medicare (treatment/payment documentation or something like that). We are seeing Medicare systematically sold off and turned into another part of corporate America, piece by piece.
I hate that this country is stupid enough that ignorant fools will allow this to happen.

Dear left-wing critics of the Biden administration's immigration policies-- could you please do something about the extremely vocal and well-funded racist critics of Biden on the right who have demagogued this issue into oblivion and who have made doing something decent about America's immigration problems essentially impossible???

(50,572 posts)How much of Arizona's $200 million is currently in Trump's bank account?
You KNOW they didn't route this contract to a Trump-aligned company because "no Arizona company could do the work." For fuck's sake people, there are companies who own cranes in Arizona and cranes are all you need to build shipping container walls. Well...cranes and trucks to take the containers out in the desert and crowbars to turn the locking devices on the containers, but mostly cranes.
No sir, no indeed: This whole sordid affair smells pretty strongly of slipping Arizona tax dollars directly to Donald Trump.
