Summary: A group of SpaceX employees published an open letter decrying Elon Musk's public behavior and requesting that company leadership address Musk's actions and tighten up their policies on employee behavior (i.e., be more clear and consistent with the company's "no asshole" and "zero tolerance" [for sexual harassment] policies.
The letter describes Musk's behavior as "...a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment for us, particularly in recent weeks...".
So, naturally, in compliance with the "no asshole" policy, they fired a number of the letter's signatories!
The NBC News article links to the Verge article,
here, which has more details and the full text of the letter. The letter is pretty good.
I know a lot of current and former SpaceX employees, and, yes, they have a "no asshole" policy. This is a complete irony given how their leader behaves. The inability of a company's leadership to accept and constructively react to criticism by its employees is a sign of a sick company.
