An Upbeat Trump Ends Summit Convinced Of Kim's Commitment To Ending Nuclear Program

Following a historic summit in Singapore on Tuesday, President Trump and Kim Jong Un signed a broad agreement with the U.S. committing to a "new" diplomatic relationship with Pyongyang in exchange for leader Kim Jong Un's reaffirmation of his "firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula."

In the joint statement signed between the two leaders agreed that their countries would also "join efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean peninsula," and commit to recovering POW/MIA remains from the Korean War, from 1950-1953.

Speaking at a news conference after the summit, the president said he had agreed to halt "inappropriate" military exercises with South Korea a key sticking point with the North.

1. My theory

Dolt 45 doesn't give a rat's ass about nuclear disarmament. No money in that. North Korea is a huge untapped market for things he can stick his name on. Sure, he'd like a Nobel Peace Prize, but it's highly doubtful the Nobel committee will award him one, because they hate him, just as they hated Bush 43. Just my 2 cents.

3. He will need more than a non-binding declaration to earn a Nobel Peace Prize.

Especially if you weigh it against his racist policies, his policy of separating small children from their parents, his attacks on the free press, his repeated sabotage of international treaties and agreements, his insults towards the countries neighbouring the US, his neverending stream of lies...

And I doubt that the commitee would be willing to wade into the swamp that has become the collusion with Russia.

4. I agree

I think this was done, giving Kim everything, for him to make business deals there, and for cheaper production of he and his daughters product's, nothing more. All about them making more money. SK and Japan have to be worried he's sold them out too like he's done to this country. Our allies must be thinking he's not their ally at all now, because he isn't. Worst possible deal in our history .
