Here's The Real Cause Of Whitney Houston's Death
Reuters has reported that the cause of Whitney Houston's death was accidental drowning. A press release from the the Los Angeles Coroner's office states that the effects of both heart disease and cocaine contributed to her death.
The report, however, raises more questions than answers.
According to the toxicology report, cocaine, marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl were found in her system. However, only cocaine was ruled to contribute to her passing.
So how could Houston have drowned while cocaine was in her system?

(12,296 posts)... and takes those kind of depressants (marijuana, Xanax, Flexeril and Benadryl), all-together or in some combination, your heart isn't going to be able to maintain its needed rhythm/action.
I don't see what coke has to do with the conclusion, unless they figure she was doing an Energizer Bunny impression and took all the other shit to calm herself down, but even then, it would have been the offset-depressants that caused her death, not the coke.
JMHO and I'm not a doctor.

(39,405 posts)the rest are prescription, so taken at normal doses, they couldn't possibly contribute to her death.

(5,857 posts)Given her metabolites of cocaine and the other drugs, the only drug that was likely having any effect on her was cocaine.
Most likely she had a heart attack and fell into or got into the tub (didn't realize she was overheating due to a heart attack and was trying to cool off), where she became unconscious and drowned.
