Trump silent as questions remain over deadly Niger ambush - By Barbara Starr and Ryan Browne, CNN

Updated 3:30 AM ET, Sat October 14, 2017

On Saturday October 7, the day the body of 25-year-old Army Sgt. La David Johnson was returned to Dover Air Force Base after he was killed in an ISIS ambush in Niger, President Donald Trump was golfing. It's not known if the President ever planned to attend the return of remains ceremony at Dover as he has in the past. But since the ambush on October 4 in Niger, he has not commented publicly on the deadliest combat incident involving US troops since he took office.

But, but, but Benghazzi.

I shudder to think what he'll say when he finds it on a map. Language is not his strong suit.

Every time there’s an article, I post it to Facebook with comments about Trump not bothering to acknowledge these deaths while finding plenty of time to tweet about the NFL and play golf. I also mention that lack of intelligence left the soldiers unprepared for the attack and ask why the Republicans are not investigating this attack as they did with Benghazi. Republicans will not investigate because they don’t actually care. Publicizing this through social media may be the only way to call attention to the story because Fox News will certainly never provide any information to red state America.

the deplorables will just say what you're posting is fake news by the Russians. Trump is destroying social media as well as everything else.

And as much as I loathe 45 I can't become one of the deplorables and act as if he is directly responsible for something that he is not. That would make me less of a person and my arguments less valuable when I want to hold him accountable for the many, many, many things for which he is directly responsible.

Then it will take a week to find Niger. Then maybe he will make a statement.
