Corporate DNC refuses to acknowledge this at their own peril.
They will be left behind if they don't see the writing on the wall. Women and progressives are the future of the information age. Get out of the way if you are stuck defending old DNC ways!!!!

(18,356 posts)that The Hill buried the lede with its headline, as well as with the headline itself:
"Poll: McConnell the Countrys Least Popular Politician"
Here are the Harvard-Harris "favorarable" ratings.
1. Bernie Sanders
2. Mike Pence
3. Hillary Clinton
4. Donald Trump
5. Elizabeth Warren
6. Paul Ryan
7. Nancy Pelosi
8. Rex Tillerson
9. Jeff Sessions
10. Chuck Schumer
11. Mitch McConnell
12. Stephen Bannon
According to the poll, Mitch McConnell is the 11th most popular politician in the country. I'm not sure why The Hill is claiming he's the least popular politician.
It's equally troubling and puzzling that Mike Pence, Paul Ryan, Jeff Sessions, and Steve Bannon (!) are rated among the top dozen in popularity while former president Barack Obama doesn't even make the list.

(30,774 posts)I am getting sick of seeing this here when there are so many real news stories we need to see.
How many more times are we going to see how popular this guy is?

(18,356 posts)but leave Barack Obama off the list of 12 most popular?

(6,046 posts)for participating in survey opportunities.
Apparently Mark Penn who now teaches polling at Harvard and a Harvard professor supervise the Harris poll. The Harvard professor is involved with the Center for American Progress, a non-profit, located at Harvard and the Harris Poll "donates" its results to CAPS-which was founded by John Podesta ( who does not seem to be closely involved in it anymore.
Today the Center is supported by many leading corporations and financial power players, such as Goldman Sachs
The Hill claims it gets exclusive reports from the Harris Poll
https://caps.gov.harvard.edu/news/caps-harris-poll-current-affairs
Harris Insights and Analytics conducts the poll based on online methodologies they have been using for more than a decade and the results are donated to the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University.
The results are represented as the results of the questions asked according to The Harris Poll methodology.
From Survey Police:
Harris Poll offers their members the opportunity to earn gift cards in exchange for their participation. Once you earn 1250 points (worth $10), you can request an e-gift voucher from places like Amazon, iTunes, Starbucks, Walmart, ESPN, and more.
Get disqualified and have a chance to win!
If you attempt to complete a survey, but are disqualified in the process, you will receive an entry into the Harris Panel Sweepstakes. As well, you will be offered the opportunity to try qualifying for other available surveys.
Survey lengths
Online surveys typically take anywhere between 15-20 minutes to complete. Short surveys will take around 5 minutes, and very long ones are around 25 minutes. These reasonable survey lengths will keep your attention and prevent you from getting bored too quickly!
Participate in a variety of different research
Like most survey panels, Harris Poll offers online surveys, but they also offer their members the opportunity to participate in things like focus groups (chatroom style or even bulletin board style), in person focus groups, telephone surveys and direct mail assignments. It is always your choice whether or not you'd like to participate in these special opportunities. Alternatively, you might be contacted to download software to your computer or mobile phone, again, for special research assignment purposes.
Rewards processing times
Redeem your rewards and receive them within 15 business days. They will be sent to your e-mail account.
Chance to win $10,000 every quarter
HarrisPoll gives away a $10,000 USD prize every quarter to one lucky winner in their Histakes - the Harris Poll Online Sweepstakes. Entries are received when being disqualified for surveys, as well as for things like short surveys that may not award points. Winners names are published on the HIstakes winners page and this list is kept up to date.
Eligibility: USA/Canada residents must be 13+ to participate.

(6,046 posts)Also seems odd that Harris doe a survey, donates its results to a non-profit housed at Harvard, and the survey then is called the Harvard-Harris Poll.
I have my doubts about Mark Penn and his polling/marketing.

Move on! This is a divisive issue.
I have been called to jury more posts of late and Sanders is the topic of most.
Enough!

(12,165 posts)I read this as most "un"popular politician. I thought the punchline was going to be, he's the first post-politician non-politician, therefore that's why he's most unpopular. I need to get my eyes checked!
