Man Happy to Be Poor if Black and Brown People are More Poor

THIS is why Trump is winning in the Republican presidential primary, and why poor and middle class Republicans vote against their own interests. It's the hate. It's the struggle against the other. It's being able to see others doing even worse than you are.

It's a bastardized species of pride. Why are Caucasian male dying younger than other groups? Because of this mindset that it is better to be barely better off than people you hate rather than work with them to make sure everyone's living conditions improve. Satire warning.

Man Happy to Be Poor if Black and Brown People are More Poor

BROCKTON, MASSACHUSETTS (The Nil Admirari) - Earlier today, a Massachusetts man with a record of following right-wing media declared he was happy to be poor as long as Black and Brown people were more poor than him. Thomas Basil - a Republican, construction worker, and married father of two - asserted being poor and working himself to death were acceptable, as long as there were people worse off than him to look down on.

+

Mr. Basil continued, "Basically, I'm happy to live in a shed without a roof eating a rat on a wire hanger, as long as Black and Brown people don't have a shed or a wire hanger to stick a rat on. Ideally, they wouldn't have rats around."

neoliberalism uses race to get the white blue collars to vote for shipping their jobs overseas and giving their money to corporations

Trump's a new sort of horror altogether

Many of those, however, were not (R), if the truth be told.

I guess I should say they weren't "true (D)," even though they were proud to say that they had never voted anything but straight party-ticket (D) since they were able to vote in the late '40s or early '50s. But to preserve current view about Party purity and avoid the need for samokritika, let's just say they weren't (D). Not at all.

d when people start starving because of huge job losses due to automation. We have a huge number, millions of totally uneducated people who have just a high school education, if that. they know little if any math or science. they will basically become totally unemployable.

of information, proven or not, hearsay or not...in order to 'prove' that they are better than the other side. It's not about being superior to others. It's about doing what you think is right. Just because I believe in one candidate and support her positions does not mean that you are wrong for believing in another candidate for the same reason. In any society, there will always be different opinions. We have to learn to accept that without belittling each other.
