The undocumented workers can not get US citizenship very easy. It takes a lot of money, have to speak good English, pass the citizenship test that most Americans could not pass themselves. A lot come from villages in their home countries that don't even speak Spanish. They speak their native American tongue, Mayan, etc. Have only 2 or 3 years of Spanish elementary school. I know I teach ESL in the Houston area.
I was born and raised on the Mexican border, even lived in down town off of Revolucion Avenida, Reynosa, Mexico for 2 years while I commuted to San Diego State
I rented an apartment from these two old ladies for $25 per month in the 70's, they came up to me one day and said they were very sorry but they had to raise my rent. I said how much. You now have to pay $27 per month utilities included. I almost burst out laughing, but to show respect, I just nodded and told I them I would survive.

to accept undocumented workers. Why not provide visas for workers to enter the country legally. What we need is a functioning government that can regulate corporate need and greed at the same time. Undocumented workers are exploited, we should never accept that.

A change in population is a big deal. Just read the article. People are retiring, the birthrate is not keeping up.
To get American citizenship requires a lot of money, paperwork up the yahoo, which keeps getting lost.
I know I had to get both my sons, who were born in Mexico naturalize. Then my wife, even though she had a green card took a while and up to $500 in fees. You have to speak good English, and pass a US citizens test, history, cultural. You take the test see if you pass.

100 questions. I seriously think most Americans can pass this test.

What I am saying is there is no need to have undocumented workers when we can fix our laws so that those who want to come here to work can do it with documents. Immigration reform could take care of this easily, however the majority of legislators, and corporations etc., would rather the undocumented remain undocumented, that way they can continue to exploit them.

The large corporations will then replace American workers with these guest workers in droves.
Silicon valley, Disneyland, some oil and gas company are bringing in Indian workers to be trained by US tec workers. Why India? Because English is their official language. 13 different languages are spoken in India, what holds the country together is making English the official language and their religion Hinduism. That's why we speak English we were a British colony same as India
