SCOTUS Racism, 1896 style: Plessy v. Ferguson, 163 U.S. 537

First, a wiki link to introduce you to the racism.

Then, the horrendous opinion itself.

Where to start ? Consider this nasty gem:

The distinction between laws interfering with the political equality of the negro and those requiring the separation of the two races in schools, theatres and railway carriages has been frequently drawn by this court.

According to wiki, Plessy was never completely overturned by SCOTUS, although Brown ruled segregation in public education was unconstitutional.

We've come a long way in 119 years.

But, I have to disagree with the "long way" Are you aware of the horrendous, current, voter suppression done by Republican law makers? And NO ONE is stopping it. Because of this, hundreds of thousands couldn't vote in the last election, in 28 States. Many are already barred from voting in 2016.
