ST. PAUL, Minn. — An all-Democratic cast of statewide elected officials has taken the Minnesota oath of office without Republican lawmakers in attendance.

Republican legislators were invited but weren't represented. House Speaker Kurt Daudt was at a previously scheduled GOP House fundraiser a hotel across the street and planned to congratulate Dayton at a reception later in the day. Daudt says he called Dayton earlier Monday to wish him well but the two didn't connect................

I am going to his inaugural ball on Saturday though and I can't say that I am disappointed that there won't be any Republicans there.

Were was the fund raiser? Was it at KSTP on University Ave.? Hope this blows up big time in Stanley Hubbard's face. Way Petty Rethugs. Oh forgot,the Star-Trib now owned by the number two Rethug Glenn Taylor. Interesting.

The party has gone off the deep end.

It is tradition to have members of both parties at inaugural events. This act shows just how rigidly partisan the GOP has become.
