CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The man who reportedly displayed a gun inside a building at the main campus of the Community College of Philadelphia is now in custody.
Police confirmed shortly after 2pm that 23-year-old Ryan Martinez Fitch was taken into custody at his apartment building in the 9500 block of State Road in Northeast Philadelphia.
Police were called to the college at 17th and Spring Garden after a report of a man with a gun came in around 12 p.m. Wednesday.
A student interviewed by Action News reporter Kenneth Moton said the suspect entered a room and there may have been some kind of argument. That person then reportedly displayed a gun.

If only all students were armed on campus. Then this terrible tragedy could have been avoided with a campus wide firefight...

They kill each other over the slightest offense and get forgotten by everyone...
Easy access to guns is an epidemic....our most vulnerable citizens are punished for this

Gary and Crown Point are two towns where much of the gun traffic flows into Chicago from.
In Gary, much of the trade is underground sales and small gun shops, but in Crown Point there are frequent guns shows pushing this junk.
The South Side gangs reportedly have 1-2 members who are forced to keep out of the fray in order to keep clean criminal records, so they can act in the role of straw-buyer in other states.
