Did New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) fly over Fort Lee during the George Washington Bridge lane closures?
The New York Post reported Monday that New Jersey lawmakers are looking into the question, and want to see records of helicopter rides taken by Christie. Christie traveled to New York City for a Sept. 11 anniversary event last year, and anonymous sources in the governor's office told the Post that Christie took a ferry to Ground Zero from Jersey City, then flew back to Trenton. The lane closures occurred the week of Sept. 9.
Photographs obtained by media outlets show that at the event Christie spent time with David Wildstein, the former Port Authority of New York and New Jersey executive at the heart of the lane closing scandal. According to the Post, lawmakers want to know if Christie took a helicopter ride with Wildstein, but the newspaper's sources in the governor's office said Wildstein was not with Christie on his way back to Trenton on Sept. 11.

(44,588 posts)One of the eighteen additional subpoenas that went out today went to the New Jersey state police aviation division? Well, as I was saying, there WOULD be no reason for Christie to be flown near Ft Lee!
