Zimmerman juror gets book agent
Source: NBC News
One of the six anonymous jurors who acquitted George Zimmerman of second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin has signed with a literary agent to write a book about the case less than 48 hours after the verdict.
The woman, known only as Juror B37 under court order, will enlist her husband, an attorney who works in the aerospace industry, as her co-author, agent Sharlene Martin said in a statement Monday.

defacto7
(13,485 posts)It means she will talk to the agent for a couple of hours and someone else will write a book with her name on it. So much money to be made on the murder of an innocent black child. There is no self respect in this act. No matter what is written, it's bullshit.

(27,275 posts)just a hunch.
defacto7
(13,485 posts)But it won't make any difference to the realities of this trial. That won't change no matter what happened behind closed doors unless it was vastly corrupt and that is very unlikely to be the case. Was it possibly corrupt enough to play into the hands of state officials and local governments? Yes, to the point of still being relatively legal... corrupt enough to get a retrial or change the outcome? no.

(2,286 posts)You don't come out with a book deal the day after a verdict. If it was such a harrowing experience for her, you think she would take the time to sit back and reflect on the experience.
Seems like she had an agenda and searching for justice wasn't one of them.

Question....Did she turn in all her jury service notes from the trial? When I served in March on a criminal trial, my notes were always left for the Bailiff and not ever for taking home.
This juror will make blood money.

(6,324 posts)and plan to try and sell a book after, would a desire to have the most controversy from the verdict, and therefore the most interest in the book, change your judgement?
Seems like an argument could be made this juror had a financial interest in making the verdict as controversial as possible.

Ann Coulter tweeting "Hallelujah" after the verdict was announced, Gingrich's comments on top of a lot of republicans.
I hope there is a turn of good events somewhere down the line.

(30,099 posts)see the case as motivated by race, no stereotypes. He, Trayvon, was suspicious looking
because he was walking through yards, looking in windows. She bought his entire version...sad.
She did say that some, wanted to find him guilty of something and the explanation of
the law and it's applicability, was confusing.
She comes off, imo, as out of touch, clueless, and a bit conflicted too.

There is a "tone" in her voice...and I'll be damned if she didn't have some ax to grind against Martin...especially when
she started referring to Zimmerman as "George".
