3 men dead, 2 wounded in 4 Philadelphia shootings

A 32-year-old man was shot multiple times about 2 a.m. Wednesday on the 2500 block of North Marston Street in North Philadelphia. He was pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital. Police did not release his identity.

A double shooting on the 5800 block of North Fifth Street in Olney late Tuesday killed Samuel Cave, 20, and left a 17-year-old male in critical condition at Einstein Medical Center, police said.

In West Oak Lane, a 33-year-old man died after being shot multiple times Tuesday night inside the front door of a home on the 7200 block of Ogontz Avenue. He was pronounced dead at Einstein about 10:30 p.m. Police did not release his identity.

A 21-year-old man was grazed in the chest by a gunshot about 2:50 a.m. Wednesday on the 2500 block of North 18th Street in North Philadelphia, police said. That victim was listed in stable condition at Temple University Hospital. No arrests had been made in any of the incidents by Wednesday evening.

They were probably African-American, therefore don't count in the GOP Gun Culturist's math.

1. We were in Philly a few weeks ago.

and we decided to take a drive. We literally got rivers confused and ended up driving thru the are area where one of these shootings happened.

I'm not a naive woman -- nor am I ignorant of inner city poverty, but this area shook me to the very core. The poverty was astounding.

Moved out of Philly a little more than a year ago, after living there for seven years. We lived in the DMZ between Kensington & Port Richman. We only had three drug related killings within 150 ft of our row home, and one drive by shooting at the place across the street.

Did you know that the US Army sent doctors to the Temple Hospital ER to learn how to treat gun shot wounds?

Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love, as in Cain & Able.
