Rick Santorum holds a narrow lead over Mitt Romney among likely voters in Michigan's Feb. 28 Republican presidential primary, according to poll results released tonight.

Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator, is favored by 34 percent and Romney, former Massachusetts governor, by 30.4 percent of voters. About 12 percent remain undecided, according to The Detroit News/WDIV Local 4 poll.

Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul each received less than 12 percent support.

Participants were asked by operators if they were likely to vote and which candidate would get their support. The poll of 500 likely voters, conducted Feb. 11-13, has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.

Romney might be easier to run against.

Santorum. The GOP Establishment will do anything necessary to wrap this thing up for Mitt Romney. They know that the drawn out primaries/caucuses are actually hurting Romney.
