Spiker elected new Iowa Republican chairman
DES MOINES, IowaA.J. Spiker has been elected the new chairman of the Iowa Republican Party.
Spiker, a former Story County GOP chairman, was elected Saturday by the Iowa GOP's Central Committee.
He replaces Matt Strawn, who announced his resignation Jan. 31 in the wake of disputed vote counting in the state's leadoff presidential caucuses on Jan. 3.

(10,857 posts)5. That suggests they're familiar with...
...the concepts of "zero," and negative numbers:
0 health care
0 taxes for wealthy
-1 aid to poor
-1 retirement, pensions, savings
-1 house
Which suggests to me that playing fairly with Republicans is a zero-sum game.
