PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) A lawyer for the wife of suspected Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev says federal authorities have asked to speak with his client.
Authorities went to the suburban Rhode Island home of Tsarnaevs in-laws Sunday evening, where Katherine Russell Tsarnaev has been staying. Lawyer Amato DeLuca tells The Associated Press that she did not speak with them, and they are discussing how to proceed.
DeLuca says Tsarnaev did not suspect her husband of anything, and nothing seemed amiss after the bombings. He says she had been working 70 to 80 hours a week as a home health care aide, while her husband cared for their daughter.
DeLuca says on the day he died, Tamerlan Tsarnaev was home when his wife left for work. He says the couple married in 2009 or 2010.

(39,313 posts)of how ashamed and distressed they are about the victims. Their victimization by this man is not the issue, it's what he did to others and how this woman did not do all she could to prevent the horrors of her husband.
She had to know something, he saw her the day he died?

I saw my wife the day she died, and had no idea that she was going to commit suicide and we had been married for 14 years!

The family issued a statement. Apparently it only appeared in the Rhode Island papers. I'll give the news media a little credit for not hounding them completely, although there are reporters outside their house.
