"Burn the Houses Down with the Cops and Their Families Inside"

Source: Salon.com

“We have a plan: We’re going to go to the houses of local cops and burn the houses down with the cops and their families inside,” Schaeffer Cox reportedly said in August 2010, months before he would be arrested for plotting to kidnap and kill federal officials — and just a few years before he would be convicted and sentenced to almost 26 years in prison.

Cox’s sentence came down earlier this week, as part of the trial of Alaska Peacemaker Militia members, a right-wing group that was plotting to stockpile illegal weapons and take violent action against the government.

When Cox spoke of his plan in 2010, it was to Bill Fulton, an Army veteran and the owner of DropZone Security, an Anchorage, Alaska, Army surplus store that doubled as a bail bonds agency and tripled as a private security company. Fulton also happened to be working as an informant for the FBI. In an interview, Fulton described to Salon how he infiltrated the twisty world of Alaska’s right-wing movement, passed along information to federal agents, and even got involved in a minor political scandal related to his security work for then-senatorial candidate Joe Miller.

Fulton had his own legal troubles at the time and now they've gone away.

As a former resident of Alaska, I followed the case closely. Fulton is no angel and was under investigation for illegal arms sales.

"It's an unusual position for the man who until now had made his career chasing bail jumpers, selling weapons and military surplus goods, protecting politicians, and once, handcuffing a journalist at a public gathering for a political candidate."

Yeah, you're such a good American you attempted to arrest and had kicked out a media person from a PUBLIC EVENT.

Really if you rent a facility and allow the public in do you no longer have control of that facility? There seems to be quite a bit of misunderstanding on this point Alaska law is clear if you lease a property it becomes your "private property" till the end of the lease. If I own a lease to a premises and ask you to leave and you don't by Alaska law your trespassing whats so hard to understand on this? I could try to explain it to you in smaller words if that helps ............

We had a neighbor once, years ago who is now in prison. The police and ATF pulled up one day, opened his garage which we had never seen open and it was packed to the rafters with guns, ammo he even had a grenade launcher! We never suspected, he seemed pretty tame, just quiet and to himself.

I think there are more of these now than 20 years ago!

Fri Jan 11, 2013, 02:06 PM

Whenever he had a problem with someone in Congress, he would have one of his Agents deliver a copy of said person's Dossier to their office and lay it in front of them. Hoover kept Dirt on everyone of any importance. It worked like a charm. That's probably what they did with this Gun Dealer. One peek and he flipped. It's pretty tough to say no when looking at the rest of one's life in Federal Prison. I can just imagine him trying to restrain his Bowels as he mulled it over.
These Reich-Wanker Militiamen act tough, but they would probably turn their own Mother in for a Snickers Bar.

The Alaska Independence Party (i.e. secessionist dweebs) is the third largest political party in the state they have all the rights of the main parties. Primary ballots, space on the final ballot, end up in most of the debates etc etc. Schaeffer believed in the country of Schaeffer not the country of Alaska as those folks think.
