Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his supporters have reportedly handed out rubber chickens to attendees of the Libertarian Party convention ahead of former President Donald Trump's speech Saturday night in Washington, D.C.
The squawking rubber chickens have "Debate Bobby" written on them and are presumably intended to heckle and mock the presumptive Republican nominee as he looks to court right-leaning libertarian voters.
The stunt faced backlash on social media from Trump supporters.
"I am told @RobertKennedyJr is handing out rubber chickens to use as noise makers during President Trump's speech at the Libertarian National Convention tonight. Kennedy supporters plan on booing Trump and disrupting his speech," far-right activist Laura Loomer posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Saturday.

Throughout the Libertarian National Convention right now: many attendees have rubber chickens handed out by the Kennedy campaign for the purpose of squeezing during the President Trump speech later this afternoon.
Unclear whether Secret Service / security will forbid them.

(101,630 posts)No lighters, no water bottles, no noisy chickens, one agent yelled to attendees waiting to go through the security checkpoint.

Chicken about chickens. What a low point the Secret Service has sunk to.

(27,211 posts)I reckon I could do some serious damage to Trump with a rubber chicken before the secret service dragged me off.
There'd be a lot of squeaking.

(12,530 posts)I was going to get one for my two year old granddaughter but when I squeezed it, it was really loud and sounded like a cat yowling, so I decided that her parents wouldnt be amused. But I bet they definitely would be perfect to squawk at the biggest chicken of all time.

(9,740 posts)I love animals, and I would never do anything to scare them or hurt them.
I saw that horse video a few years ago, and it stuck with me. I was always amazed that the horse actually enjoyed the squeaky toy.

(34,228 posts)around animals, as we all should be, then there should never be anything used to scare them for our jollies or really for any reason. I saw a video similar and got one thinking they needed something new and interesting. I should have known after spending the money for a Jolly Ball that kept them out of the dry lot for days, scared the crap out of them. They trust me but it took a little while after those 2 episodes. Now we just are, we just be and all is well.

(34,228 posts)They look like the chickens I got for one of my big dogs who loves loud squeeky toys and it terrified him so I took it to my horses who were also supposed to like them. They ran faster than any old horses I have ever seen.
