RFK Jr. accuses Biden and Trump of 'colluding' to exclude him from debates

Source: NBC News

May 15, 2024, 1:04 PM EDT

Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump were "colluding" to exclude him from the debates they agreed to participate in on Wednesday.

Biden and Trump said Wednesday that they had accepted invitations for presidential debates hosted by CNN on June 27 and ABC News on Sept. 10.

Kennedy would not currently qualify for the CNN debate in Atlanta based on the criteria the network laid out. Stefanie Spear, press secretary for the Kennedy campaign, told NBC News that Kennedy would accept an invitation from CNN to debate Biden and Trump if he qualifies.

In a post on X, Kennedy voiced his anger about being excluded from the first general election debate. "Presidents Trump and Biden are colluding to lock America into a head-to-head match-up that 70% say they do not want. They are trying to exclude me from their debate because they are afraid I would win. Keeping viable candidates off the debate stage undermines democracy," he said in his post.

I wrongly assumed in the past that videos of him were fake. I believed he wasn't really that nutty and the voice had to be fake. Turns out he really is that nutty and that really is his voice.

Even if Biden and Trump went through the Commission on Presidential Debates, guess what?

You still wouldn't be in the debates because you don't meet the established criteria for inclusion.

Go eat a fistful of raw pork to give your worm a friend in that god-forsaken, lonely space between your ears.

Aside from RFK Jr's claims coming from delusion, a lot of people wouldn't want to watch the debate if they had to listen to someone who has a voice that is extremely difficult to listen to. He can't help it, but it is what it is. From a networks' perspective, he would be a ratings killer. They want as many views as possible, and they aren't going to get it with him on the debate stage.

His support is largely online. People who aren't chronically online and still watch regular TV would be turned off immediately, imo.
