Arthur Ray Hanson was charged with transmitting interstate threats to injure Willis and Fulton County Sheriff Patrick Labat, who controls the jail where Trump was fingerprinted and photographed after he was indicted in August on charges of trying to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.
..........................
Hanson, 59, called the Fulton County customer service line twice in August and left two voicemail messages threatening violence against Willis and Labat, according to court records.
"Watch it when you're going to the car at night, when you're going into your house, watch everywhere that you're going," court records quoted Hanson as saying in the message left for Willis.
"I would be very afraid if I were you because you can't be around people all the time that are going to protect you; there's going to be moments when you're going to be vulnerable," the message said, according to court records. "When you charge Trump on that fourth indictment, anytime you're alone, be looking over your shoulder."....................

(4,741 posts)We're hearing more about it now because now the justice system recognizes how these threats manifest into acts of terror. So they're taking it more seriously, resulting in arrests, which are public record--where we can see things that were not ignored, per se, but not understood enough to see what was going on.
Sort of like how nobody knew the extent of those on the autism spectrum until DSM-IV laid out the criteria for a diagnosis. The people on the spectrum were always out there, but now we had a way to identify them.
When you identify a problem, you start to realize how much of it's out there, where it had seemed invisible before.

(5,945 posts)Everybody involved has to shut up about these cases in public. The lawyers, P01135809, everyone. News media in the courtroom can report on proceedings and motions and such but no one involved can talk about the cases, At all.
The orange motherfucker keeps whipping up these crazies and one of them is going to resort to violence rather than threats. And he knows it. Stochastic terrorism is how he operates. Too bad he can't be charged with that. He'd have been in prison for it long ago.
