Florida cop charged for alleged sex acts with jaywalker in exchange for letting her go with no ticket

A Florida police officer was arrested Tuesday after officials said he stopped a pedestrian and told her he would not cite her for jaywalking or charge her for sexual misconduct in exchange for sexual acts with him.
Nicolas Paloma, 29, has been charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment, Clearwater Police Chief Eric Gandy said during a news conference. Paloma has been with the department since 2018.
"I had to check myself before coming in here, because I'm exceptionally upset at the betrayal of trust in the level of confidence that people have in our officers," Chief Gandy said. "It's exceptionally damaging to our reputation and the reputation of everyone in law enforcement."
The pedestrian stop of a 32-year-old woman happened early Sunday morning near the Clearwater Beach roundabout, Chief Gandy said. Investigators determined the woman was a tourist, FOX 13 News reports.

Officer Anthony Anderson is facing four felony charges, including second-degree cruelty to children, after he was detained on Oct. 5. It has been reported that in the early morning hours of Aug. 2, the officer arrived at the scene of a single-car accident, reportedly withheld medical attention from the teen after realizing she was injured and forced her to perform inappropriate sex acts.
Anderson also faces additional charges for aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery, with a minimum sentencing of 25 years if convicted in Georgia.
____
[Anderson] knowingly with criminal negligence did cause a child under the age of 18 cruel or excessive physical or mental pain by not having medical personnel check the victim for injuries after a car accident despite medical personnel arriving on the scene.
The 16-year-old teen reported the assault to Gwinnett County Sheriffs Department, who informed the Atlanta Police Department (APD) as a formal investigation into the matter began the following week. The officer, who had been a member of the APD since 2016, was shortly removed from the field.
In response to his arrest, APD Chief Darin Schierbaum condemned the despicable action committed by a member of the citys police force.

If they do opt out though the county and or state can lose Federal monies and the state risks being moved lower down on a list for any potential federal contracts and spending as a whole.

It's the reason LEO's need a federal tracking system so the shit doesn't get shuffled around anymore and police unions are the only unions I believe need to be broken.
