Kemp urges Republicans not to 'look in the rearview mirror' in 2024 race
Source: The Hill
Focus on the future, not look in the rearview mirror. You know, if you look in the rearview mirror too long while youre driving, youre gonna look up and youre gonna be running into somebody and thats not gonna be good, Kemp said on CNNs State of the Union.
Its like a quarterback that throws an interception. If you dwell on that the rest of the game, your teams not gonna fare very well. But if you put it behind you and focus on the game ahead in the future, then youre going to win.
Kemp didnt mention former President Trump by name, but his comments come after he said in remarks on Saturday at a private Republican National Committee donor retreat that Republicans should move on from the 2020 presidential election, as reported by CNN.
The governors sentiment appears to be a veiled jab at Trump, who regularly airs grievances about the 2020 presidential election, which he lost to President Biden.

A one-million-vote nose-dive in turnout was well-concealed by GOP Gov. Brian Kemp to cover up the effects of Jim Crow 2.O at the launch his presidential campaign.
[Dec 14, 2022: Atlanta, GA] From the New York Times to the Wall Street Journal, math-challenged reporters have repeated the completely upside-down fable of a record turnout in the Georgia Senate runoff.
Record turnout? My ass! The official count, tucked away in the Georgia Secretary of States files, shows the turnout fell by a breathtaking one-million votes.
Facts matter. The faux record turnout is used by Republican pols to discredit the grossly partisan and racially poisonous effects of SB202, the law signed last year by Georgias Gov. Brian Kemp that the NAACP dubs Jim Crow 2.0. It has become the model for vote suppression legislation already marching into legislatures from Texas to Wisconsin.

(12,673 posts)I'm surprised THAT many turned out; I even know republicans who skipped that vote after hearing Walkers speeches.

(36,827 posts)An analogy thrown around here or there isn't a problem. It's when you are conditioning people to think exclusively with them that's the problem

(22,971 posts)They hear nothing but the endless echo chamber of Fox propaganda. They want revenge for "crimes" that didn't occur, are angry about "fraud" that didn't take place (except on their own side), and refuse to see the bottomless fraud and corruption of their own political leaders. They are ostriches with their heads stuck in a pit of shit generated by people who use them for their own profit.
