U.S. EPA Administrator, Michael Regan will be returning to East Palestine on Tuesday to provide an update on the recent train derailment incident. ... According to a press release, Regan will also announce additional measures to ensure the health and safety of the community and to hold Norfolk Southern accountable.

This visit coincides with the opening of a clinic for residents who have medical questions or concerns regarding the derailment. ... The clinic will be run by the Ohio Department of Health along with partnering agencies including both the Ohio and U.S. EPAs.

Following the visit, a press conference will be held at approximately 12:30 p.m. In addition to Regan, Ohio Governor, Mike DeWine, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Valley Congressman Bill Johnson will also be at this press conference.

I notice there is 2 points of view on water safety in the news, so I'm buying bottled water and boiling some, too.

I live in Marietta, on the river, south of E. Palestine. I think my water is from a company that uses wells, but there was a main break on Feb 3rd on the Marietta system. At first, our water company said their customers along Rt. 7 should boil, and then said all of their customers should boil, then lifted the advisory 24 hrs later. So I am no longer sure where Reno, Oh. gets its water.

I washed dishes yesterday. I had gotten ink on my hands Sunday, and my fingers were still dark when I started the dishes, When I was done, my hands, even under the nails, were white. This morning, I noticed my coffee cup inside was also lighter. Thinking of Tom Lehrer:"turn on the tap, you get hot and cold running crap" :/
