Add Rick Tyler, spokesman and key adviser to Rep. Todd Akin, to the list of Rove critics. Tyler is a Newt Gingrich ally and political strategist who journeyed to Missouri in late August to assist Akin's ill-fated campaign for the Senate.

(5,412 posts)I still think PACs are super dangerous. I don't want anyone to come way from this thinking that they were a "colossal failure". They failed, but I bet they would have failed a lot harder without hundreds of millions of dollars pushing against us.

(11,523 posts)Anyone so fucking stupid as to put a dog on the roof of a car (much less a vulture capitalist who made a fortune ruining peoples lives) shouldn't be able to come within 3% nationally of Barack Obama. If they'd have run a somewhat more acceptable candidate and we could very well have been in trouble.

(184 posts)But I would have to question Mr. Tyler's support for a candidate who believes in magical vaginas. That probably didn't help either. LOL

Oh but when it was time for his own undoing....and that's the thing, there always comes a time for these guys in some way...the frantically look to place blame elsewhere and cry like babies for mercy.

(29,277 posts)and they ended up losing both, as well as losing face.
If they weren't such a*holes in the first place it would be just another loss. But their hubris... aaaahhh, I love that they got *so* slapped down.
