'People's Convoy' to protest COVID-19 mandates will begin at Adelanto Stadium
Source: Victorville Daily Press
The coast-to-coast Peoples Convoy of semi-truck drivers protesting government COVID-19 mandates will begin in Adelanto and not Barstow as organizers first announced.
On Saturday, The Peoples Convoy organizers announced a noon Feb. 22 staging time for truckers at Adelanto Stadium, followed by a public send-off rally there at 10 a.m. Feb. 23. There was no mention of starting the convoy in Barstow.
Convoy organizers did not reveal why they changed the convoy's starting point, first announced Wednesday on the Newsmax YouTube channel by co-organizer Maureen Steele.
The message the truckers intend to deliver from the High Desert to Washington, D.C. is that the government has forgotten its place, and its mask and vaccination mandates are unconstitutional.

This is where I live in a very red part of California, seems very likely there will be some kind of convoy "protest".

to PEACEFULLY PROTEST nor they do they represent "the people" either.

(50,314 posts)If they want to get sick and maybe die, that's their business and we shouldn't interfere. I wish they would stay at home when they get sick rather than clog up the hospitals, but that's another matter. While it's true, we're at risk of having them infect us, all we can do is protect ourselves as best we can since these fools are not going to change their minds. They seem determined to have "their freedoms," at least until the doctor is getting ready to intubate them for the ventilator and then they ask for the vaccine. It's a lost cause.

(8,311 posts)Now, if they make a portable "low clearance bridge" that'd allow passenger cars/trucks through to the interstate entrances, I'm fine with spikes in the areas trucks might try to get *around* it.... the time it took to clear them would keep other trucks from attempting it.
Also here we punish truckers by the wallet if they don't get their crap to where it's supposed to be on time. I imagine the "organizers" moved it from Barstow either because they had a few threats from real truckers who are doing it to make a living (or at least strongly worded letters), or they know that blocking the entrance to I-40 wouldn't actually be successful so they're just going for a rally.

Looks like their little road trip takes them through red states and a whole lot of nothing until they reach DC. Maybe they think the red states locals will be happy to give them food, fuel, and funds as they go through.
'Cause I doubt the think tanks pushing this BS are paying all that much for their Vacation experience, and if they are, it's probably after the fact, and they'll want receipts if they are going to pay out.

The Department of Defense (DoD) administers 17 different vaccines, as outlined in the Joint Instruction on Immunizations and Chemoprophylaxis (Secretaries of the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Transportation, 1995), for the prevention of infectious diseases among military personnel.
I believe that would make our Founding Father's orders and our military requirements un-Constitutional. lol!

Local city and state governments in blue areas should make this a serious felony offense as well.
In this way, on the more local levels, fascist truckers using their trucks as terrorist weapons to shut down economies and transportation in red areas, where using trucks as terrorist weapons will remain legal, will primarily be hurting their fellow fascist red state insurrectionists.
