'People's Convoy' to protest COVID-19 mandates will begin at Adelanto Stadium

The coast-to-coast People’s Convoy of semi-truck drivers protesting government COVID-19 mandates will begin in Adelanto and not Barstow as organizers first announced.

On Saturday, The People’s Convoy organizers announced a noon Feb. 22 staging time for truckers at Adelanto Stadium, followed by a public send-off rally there at 10 a.m. Feb. 23. There was no mention of starting the convoy in Barstow.

Convoy organizers did not reveal why they changed the convoy's starting point, first announced Wednesday on the Newsmax YouTube channel by co-organizer Maureen Steele.

The message the truckers intend to deliver from the High Desert to Washington, D.C. is that the “government has forgotten its place,” and its mask and vaccination mandates are unconstitutional.
