Suspect in shooting threats against UCLA now in custody, authorities say

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Colorado law enforcement has confirmed that the person who made threats of a possible shooting at UCLA is now in custody.
The person in custody was identified by police as Matthew Christopher Harris. Authorities were able to take Harris in without incident after an hours-long standoff at his home in Boulder.
The Boulder Police Department began an investigation soon after receiving the threatening emails and manifesto from UCLA.
"Upon reviewing parts of the manifesto, we identified thousands of references to violence, stating things such as killing, death, murder, shootings, bombs, schoolyard massacre in Boulder, and phrases like burn and attack boulder outside of the university," said Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold at a news conference.
