KANSAS CITY, Mo. Kansas City wants a chance to host the 2024 Republican National Convention.
Mayor Quinton Lucass office confirmed with FOX4 the city plans to submit a bid to host the political event where the party will select its nominees for president and vice president in the 2024 presidential election.
Kansas City also submitted a bid to host the 2016 RNC, but Cleveland was selected instead. Could 2024 be Kansas Citys year?
The national conventions are still three years away, but a lot can and will happen before then. The bidding process has already begun.

don't they usually pick cities in places up for grads? Missouri (Kansas City is in MO) has become solid red, have they run out of cities in purple states that will put up with them?
and the strip clubs also close early and make them cover in MO

Personally, I don't want any big things like that. No RNC, no olympics, It won't benefit me or anyone I know, and will just mean huge congestion and inconvenience.
But I particularly don't want fucking republicon scum here.

(36,207 posts)It's one reason Koch had the USDA moved to Kansas. One reason he pays for hundreds of colleges; all the Federalist Society judicial and statehous votes by Republicans; he pays for the long game of bench development.
His politics are more real than trump's kayfabe politics (a wrestling term about babyface v heels) but he's still anti-democratic enough to want minority rule.
