This all adds up to election theft as Republicans pull every trick in their dirty play book to repress the true American voter. The media has created the illusion of a close race as usual. The disenfranchising of voters has taken place. Republicans control the invisible votes on corporate software and now long forms to make the lines grow and discourage people from standing in them. What a sad fascist political group they are.

1. I posted in another thread: Fill out your sample ballot (that your Supervisor of Elections

should have already sent you) before you go to the polls and take it with you. It cuts way down on the time it takes to fill out your actual ballot since all you have to do is copy from the sample ballot.

If everyone does this, it will have those lines moving smoothly and quickly.

5. Not so busy in Hillsborough County at the main election headquarters. I arrived about noon and it

took about 20 minutes to get to the head of the line. The Check in Judge then scanned my Drivers License which has all our voter ID information. I signed the form electronically, handed the receipt to the "ballot hander-outer" and chose a cubicle. It took another 5 min to mark the ballot and feed it into the scanner - and headed home. Total time about 30 minute. I'm wearing my "I VOTED EARLY" sticker.

at minutes to 12 am. Yup I procrastinated, so now I'm paying for it. I will be going to the polls in the morning. Then I have a few people to take to the polls later in the day tomorrow.

4. Re: Long Ballots.... Check your local Dem Party website for guidance!

My wife and I voted this morning first thing. We're in NE Florida. Before we went to the polling place we went to our local Dem website, the Duval County Democratic Party and they had a sample ballot with their down ballot choices as well as ammendments, judges and local elections. Obviously the national races were easy but the site helped us with the more obscure local issues and majorly with the state ammendments. Check your local Dem Party website for info and direction!!!!

6. Florida is very easy

No on all amendments, yes on money for schools, yes on all judges, and then just vote Dem.

40 minutes in line in St Pete, less than 5 in the booth.

11. Just a note:

Georgia residents should be wary of the money for schools referendum as the money there is to allow charter schools to receive equal state funding thereby spreading funding thinner for public schools. Georgia residents should vote no on charter school funding. It's another republican ruse.

7. There was a 2 hr wait at my polling place

in Tampa suburbs. I asked the worker and he said there were about 25 in line at 6 am and
from then the line only got longer. I voted this morning around 10, and when I drove by
about 1/2 hr ago the line was still the same length.

8. Just voted in St. Petersburg.

At the supervisor of elections downtown. There was no line to get in, and they had two entrances open. There were plenty of booths open, too. I had to wait about five minutes to get my ballot after signing in. They seemed to have it pretty together.

9. voted today in Sarasota

took about one hour total time, wait and completing the ballot. Line was as long when I left as when I got there about 10:45

10. Basically hour long lines all day today, just voted in Broward County!!!

I voted for the black Kenyan Moslim guy!!! And others who had a donkey pic next to their names

13. Why waiting in Sarasota it seemed almost everyone had

their sample ballots already filled out and were ready to go. For me it was an hour wait. Now on the other hand my husband went to a different polling place, Fruitville Library were there was no parking available, people were lined up outside, he figured about a two hour wait and decided to try again tomorrow.

15. Absentee paper ballot

Good to see all the St. Pete/Tampa/Sarasota Suncoast homeys on here. We're all voting tomorrow at the dining room table, absentee paper ballot, as we have since 2005. No muss, no fuss, no waiting in line. Will drop off 4 votes for Obama Monday a.m. at the Supervisor of Election's office.

20. Wife and I reregistered to update signature ...

Since it's been over 3 decades since we originally registered. And, at age 18, I'm certain I still had a degree of penmanship that was smacked into me with a ruler across the knuckles by the nuns. Now, with arthritic fingers, the signature looks like doctor chicken scratch. So, we reregistered, they have a category to update your signature and hopefully there will be no discarding of our ballots based on signature differences.
