INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Baylor made a mockery of the first Final Four game, stiflingHouston for a chance at the programs first national title.
Gonzaga made miracles happen, winning on one of the greatest shots in NCAA Tournament history.
The showdown between Baylor and Gonzaga that was called off in December because of the pandemic is finally back on, with the biggest stakes of all: The two best teams all season will play for the national championship Monday night.
The wait was worth it.

(182,876 posts)I came in at halftime surprised by the score and started watching. Ayayi and Jaquez for each team apparently were big in the first half but I didnt see much of them. It was Kispert Timme and of course Suggs vs. Juzang, Tyger Campbell and Riley. No one got that far up. Clutch impromptu plays and second efforts. Juzang was out of control on the charge which is how they call that but the refs let them go which really added to the flow of the game. Bodies in the floor. Tips second chances jump shots from inside guys. You name it. And then the finish on both sides really. Two incredible plays in a row and no stupid endless timeouts - good on the coaches.

(261 posts)Being a Washington State grad, it was difficult to choose between UCLA (PAC-12 team like WSU) or Gonzaga where my father played on the last football team Gonzaga ever had thanks to WWII. He also had his law degree from there. However, the coach of Baylor, Kelvin Sampson, used to be a WSU coach in the 1980's and he and his family went to our church. Usually, I have to find a reason to cheer for a team if WSU is not involved. This time I would like both teams to win.

(12,132 posts)I root for Gonzaga every year because the earliest known bootleg concert recording of Led Zeppelin was live at Gonzaga in 1968.
It's a terrible recording (student bought his tape deck) but historic and dear to us fans of live Zep shows. I can't ever see the brackets and not think of this lol.
