At a political forum on Wednesday, GOP congressional candidate Sery Kim falsely suggested that Chinese immigrants bring the coronavirus to the United States and suggested that she opposes their entry to the country.
I dont want them here at all, Kim, who is Korean American, told attendees, speaking of Chinese immigrants and China in general, the Dallas Morning News reported. They steal our intellectual property, they give us coronavirus, they dont hold themselves accountable.
Kim, 42, also argued that a rising surge in violence and threats against Asian Americans has been trumped up by the media, saying that Asians have always faced violence. Its not worse than before.
The comments left Kim, who served under Trump in the Small Business Administration, facing blowback from both supporters and opponents. Republican Reps. Young Kim and Michelle Steel, both of California, who endorsed Kim in March, told The Washington Post they had told her that the comments were wrong. Both have withdrawn their endorsements............................

California GOP Reps. Young Kim and Michelle Steel, both of Korean descent, have pulled their endorsements of Sery Kim, a candidate in the race to replace Ron Wright in Texas 6th Congressional District.
Kim, a Korean immigrant who worked in former President Donald Trumps administration, confirmed Friday that she had lost the backing of the trailblazing Korean members of the U.S. House.
I dont want them here at all, she said. They steal our intellectual property, they give us coronavirus, they dont hold themselves accountable.
She added: Quite frankly, I can say that because Im Korean........

(17,390 posts)Remember how in the midst of BLM protests David Clarke, an African American Sheriff, suddenly became a Trump favorite and a Fox News regular? For minorities in the GOP, it is an easy way to rise to prominence: Provide cover to the GOP for their efforts to create racial divisions in the United States. While some folks like Tim Scott are just willing to quietly stand beside a racist like Donald Trump, if you really want to be featured by right wing, just go completely crazy like David Clarke.
Sery Kim's all out attack on Chinese immigrants will guarantee her a favored spot on Fox News, OAN and Newsmax. Sure, she may not win the Republican primary, because the Republican base is still very racist, but she will make them fill better because she will insist that their anti-Asian sentiments are not really racist and their assumption that Chinese in the United State are carrying and spreading COVID-19 is not racist at all.

For years, Sheriff David A. Clarke was a fixture on Fox News, raging against Black Lives Matter, reportedly neglecting his duties as sheriff, and owning libs at every corner.
Nowadays, the firebrand Trump ally and ex-Milwaukee sheriff isnt welcome on Fox anymore, The Daily Beast has learned.
The one-time Fox News regular, who was previously considered for different senior posts in the Trump administration, was effectively banned last year by the network, according to two sources familiar with the situation.
The decision was more sweeping than the soft bans that Fox has imposed on other guests or contributors, such as former White House official Sebastian Gorka, who was barred from Foxs hard news programming but regularly appeared on opinion shows like Hannity.

They are human and they are capable of racist and prejudiced behavior, also.
And while I say Kim's GPA is a fine accomplishment, showing it to today's GQP voters is laughable. They'll label her as an elitist and she'll get shellacked in the primaries by some dumb shit GQP firebrand like Dan Rodimer.

(24,350 posts)Racism is not about YOUR ethnicity
Racism is how treat others based on THEIR race (or in this case, grouping)
Your childish, slurish and racist attacks against people who are Chinese shows you are a racist.
A racist in the same vein as the Japanese who ruthlessly slaughtered the Chinese at Nanjing for being less-than-human

(17,997 posts)Sery, they'll put up with you to make political hay about not being racist, but that's as far as it goes. Don't ever think you're in their club. Same with Clarence Thomas and Tim Scott. The club is white European only. And to be honest, only certain white Europeans, preferably protestant. Everyone else are just "associates." Little better than paid props.
