VP Kamala Harris Speaks Out On Atlanta Murders: ‘We Stand With You’ in Face of Increased Hate Crimes Against Asian-Americans

Vice President Kamala Harris publicly addressed the string of horrific mass murders in Atlanta, saying that while the motive for the crimes has yet to be established, the Biden administration stands with Asian-Americans amid a rise in anti-Asian-American violence.
At the start of a virtual meeting with Micheál Martin, Taoiseach of Ireland, VP Harris said she wanted to take a moment to “say a few words about an incident, a horrible incident in our country.”
“Before I begin, I do want to talk about what happened in Georgia, in Atlanta,” Harris continued. “It is tragic. Our country, the president and I, and all of us, we grieve for the loss. Our prayers are extended to the families of those who have been killed.”
“And it speaks to a larger issue, which is the issue of violence in our country and what we must do to never tolerate it, and to always speak out against it,” Harris said.
