FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican QAnon conspiracy promoter from Georgia, wrote on Facebook that the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School massacre was a false flag operation.
Her claim, from 2018, was unearthed and reported by Media Matters, a left-leaning news site that focuses on conservative media.
The Media Matters report included screen shots and links to the posts, which were still visible at midday Tuesday.
Discovery of the Georgia congresswomans view which has no basis in reality was greeted with disgust by people with firsthand knowledge of the Feb. 14, 2018, massacre that left 17 people dead and 17 injured at the high school in Parkland.
Fred Guttenberg, whose daughter Jaime, was murdered at the school, addressed his response to Greene in a Twitter post Tuesday and included a picture of her. We have never met. It appears you think or at one time thought the school shooting in Florida was a false flag. I know you have met Parkland parents. This is my daughter Jaime, she was killed that day. Do you still believe this? Why would you say this?

(110 posts)Just a vile evil excuse for a human. She needs to be removed from the house. Put someone in that believes big foot was seen at Star Bucks recently grabbing a grande white mocha. That would be a step up.

(5,727 posts)In addition to commenting that the massacre was a false flag planned event, Media Matters reported that Greene said in a separate 2018 Facebook post that I am told that Nancy Pelosi tells Hillary Clinton several times a month that we need another school shooting in order to persuade the public to want strict gun control.
Greene is a monstrosity.

(846 posts)Well if she believes in Q than no crazy conspiracy is too big.

(10,085 posts)I heard an interview recently where someone familiar with the platform likened it to a gaming platform where people get clues and are gradually sucked into play. Ive never understood the gaming phenomenon (too old!), but if QAnon is like a game to believers, it sure does encourage violent behavior.
It would be good to know who Q is. Ive wondered whether its a Russian and another part of Putins effort to destroy the US.

Q's been hiding in plain sight, but out of American jurisdiction. Doesn't mean Duterte would protect them if we sent in some team, but that's not been given any consideration by govt officials, by the looks of it.
It's all fear-based bullshit, but their bullshit is exactly what mobilized so many on platforms last year, which is why the allegedly unwitting platforms dropped tens of thousands of accounts. And it's done a lot of psychic damage in this country, along with the tearing apart of relationships and families.
Here are some old posts about it.

(3,403 posts)I believe they do it because that is what their audience want to hear, but not because they believe it to be so.
These people are opportunists and they will stop at nothing to lie if they find the lies convenient to their goals, just like Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley and many other republicans.
Criminals don't see consequences, they just see the end goal and everything in between is just collateral damage.

QANON shit is spread by a Russian search engine and AI programs.
Reading all kinds of basic googled sources will lead Americans to three guys. THEY ARE Q.
They are the buzz feeders of Q apps that make "believers" feel so cool, so smart.
Two of them both moved to the Philippines to run Qanon so they'd be out of American jurisdiction power. They run Q with Jason J. Gelinas, some alleged security 'analyst' out of New Jersey, and together they smoke pot, make up conspiracies, feed media, sell the Q app.
Trumpers continue to be duped by Jim Watkins and Russian intelligence, in conjunction with a pack of traitors, grifters, amoral politicians, and plutocrats who do not care about any of the duped Americans who believe their dangerous bullshit.
Jim Watkins has been Q since at least the Great Blackout of 2019 the THREE MONTH period of time when 8chan went down, Brennan had to sell it, and the government intelligence operative -- Watkins -- dupes believe in could not even figure out how to use Twitter.
80% of Americans don't have college degrees, and QANON believers are the most Gullible, Obsessed Pattern seeking chimps (GOP) among that population.
These are the people the so-called Q exploiters in Congress represent. They need to be investigated, evidence compiled on their duplicity and complicity, and then expelled. Expelled.
The nation can't heal until their poison is removed.

(36,137 posts)They are a poison on the body politic and need to be removed not because of their mental states and characters but because of what they have done with them.
They cannot be trusted to make decisions in The People's House and Senate, no matter their degrees (looking at Hawley and Cruz) or past political experience.
