Source: CBS News
Full Headline: Obama says Republican allies "obviously didn't think there was any fraud going on" before Trump's baseless claims Former President Barack Obama said it was "disappointing" to see Republicans supporting President Trump's baseless claims that the election was rigged. "They obviously didn't think there was any fraud going on because they didn't say anything about it for the first two days," he told Gayle King for "CBS Sunday Morning." "But there's damage to this because what happens is that the peaceful transfer of power, the notion that any of us who attain an elected office, whether it's dogcatcher or president, are servants of the people. It's a temporary job." (snip) "When Donald Trump won, I stayed up until 2:30 in the morning and I then called Donald Trump to congratulate him. His margin of victory over Hillary Clinton wasn't greater than Joe Biden's margin over him," he said. He continued: "But if you are listening to some of the talk radio that Trump voters are listening to, if you're watching Fox News, if you're getting these tweets, those allegations are presented as facts. So you've got millions of people out there who think, 'Oh yeah, there must be cheating because the president said so.'" 3. True
but, I liked that Obama pointed out that even Bush was willing to accept a republican defeat with grace. But, that was a whole twelve years ago. How times have changed!

7. Grace in the moment, at least.
But it didn't take long into the Obama administration for the grace to evaporate and be replaced with vitriol that lasted for 8 years.

That Obama held America’s hands.
Trump has helped the vitriol grow to volcanic proportions. |

25. Very true. But the vitriolic attitude
from the Obama terms paved the way for Trump.
I know that RW insanity was around before Obama, but it reached new heights in the 8 years of Obama, and then Trump took it to the sky. |

..... Americans first.
BUT they seem to choose the dark road. Anyone of them or all of them could stand up and say enough is enough YOU LOST and you will be an albatross around our necks for decades to come. Concede NOW! |

12. No, it would be had Trump actually been reelected. But now, we do have a shot at saving the republic
Uphill climb, and all that, but a good chance.
Especially if we can take the two Senate seats up for runoff in GA. Stacey Abrams is down there. Obama will be, I'm sure. I'm going to be donating, maybe even making calls. If we get out the same people who carried GA for Biden and Harris, we will have a very real chance to claw out way up out of the morass. |

Because they still owe fines, I wonder if lebron and some other athletes would get involved and pay some fines so those folks could register and vote?

I'd have been shocked if he faced it with grace. I have to admit, though, that the levels to which he will stoop have been at least a little surprising.
