More than 100 blank Jefferson County absentee ballots found in dumpster

LOUISVILLE, Ky. More than 100 absentee ballots meant for Jefferson County voters were found in a dumpster on Thursday.
Nore Ghibaudy, Jefferson County clerk spokesperson, confirmed 112 blank ballots were found in a construction dumpster. The ballots were meant for voters in the Jeffersontown area - ZIP code 40299.
He said they were still in the plastic container used by the USPS and other mail was mixed in.
Ghibaudy said the mail was discovered by a construction worker.

(17,679 posts)I'm sure EVERY state has some of these type postal workers. Like bad cops, they need to be found and dealt with!! Get them all out NOW!!!

(34,021 posts)It doesn't matter whether the area is blue or red, each postal worker goes by his/her own beliefs. However I remember the days when US Postal workers had to be bonded couriers. They had their credit and legal history checked out before they were hired by the USPS. At the time of hiring there was a liability bond for each employee against their screwing up in anyway i.e., if they ever stole or lost something of value it was covered by insurance, and they were considered responsible.
Whatever happened to those days when people were expected to hold to a high standard?
