Spicer, who resigned in July 2017 out of dissatisfaction with the hiring of Anthony Scaramucci as communications director, courted controversy for repeatedly telling lies on behalf the president. Among those were false claims that Trumps inauguration had the biggest crowds in history, that the president would have won the popular vote in the 2016 if not for voter fraud, that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower and that Adolf Hitler had not used chemical weapons............................

I thought this was the Onion when I first saw the headline. Trump is recycling his trash.
But I saw Reices Pieces a few weeks ago on Fox and asked--why? I though he joined the Navy--???

(16,616 posts)He's nostalgic for his 2016 campaign, the feeling of it, before everything went terribly wrong.
He wants to be surrounded by familiar faces, "friends" (lol).
very, very strange.
I don't interpret this is a good sign for him.

He's essentially surrounding himself with the same group that was there prior to and just after the *election*. Several people on twitter indicated that they were told his mental function is out of control and they thought that Hicks and the other familiar faces might be able to calm him down (because that worked so well before (imagine my eyeroll here).

(1,733 posts)You don't bring back losing contestants from Season 1 in Season 4. For a reunion episode, maybe, but not for the regular season. And Sean Spicer is a double loser -- he also lost on that dance show. Meatloaf and Gary Busey would be better bets.

Maher asked him about all the horrible things Trump said about him and Bannon just shrugged, smiled, and said he's been called "worse things." Then proceeded to shower praise on Trump. It really is sickening. All of these people are amoral and evil.

(8,028 posts)Hes in such a state of mental decline that from here on hell be heavily medicated except when hes brought out for a rally or other type of campaign or donor event. As such, the people coming back wont be subject to his daily abuse really because they will, in reality, be working for someone else. This was a desperation move because no one can tolerate working for him.
Perhaps those returning believe they are coming to the aid of the country by helping to keep things from falling apart as he is being managed by his appointed handlers.

(4,007 posts)a few months) and literally has forgotten perhaps not that he fired them but... why he did so.
He's re-creating a time when he had very pliable sycophants around him (see Spicer for a definition!) meaning he felt comfortable with them. Very odd that now 3 past butt-suckers (well, maybe two and one schlong sucker, see H. Hicks!) all of a sudden are being re-hired. I'll bet this was an order that no one vetted or even questioned given his apparent and reported extreme anxiety of late and lashing out at any and all. Glad that Spicer is back since he'll parrot the most outrageous lies for Trumpy to the media, again making him the butt of not only late night jokes but the world at large.
Good as these moves IMO can only hurt his re-election efforts.
