He misled everyone! Israeli leader fumes at Jared Kushner as Trumps peace plan spirals down the drain
Published 4 mins ago on February 4, 2020
Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner is taking heat from key allies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the peace plan he helped design spirals further down the drain.
While the plan had previously been praised by the Israeli government even as it was widely panned by neighboring Arab governments, the Washington Post reports that Yesha Council Chairman David Elhayani is furious about the White Houses efforts to discourage Netanyahu from immediately annexing large portions of the West Bank from the Palestinians.

Kushner took a knife and put it in Netanyahus back, Elhayani tells the Washington Post. Kushner misled the prime minister. He misled everybody. He knew for a long time that Netanyahu wanted to declare sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and northern Dead Sea he said it many times over the last year. Gentlemen just dont act this way......................................

How could anyone--even those as corrupt as Netanyahu et al.-- have believed Kushner/Trump on anything.
He sold out everyone, but especially the Palestinians. They may not care about that, but they are finally realizing he sold out THEM too.

(33,982 posts)It was just a stunt to check off a list item. It's not a serious proposal, and never was.
And the lack of haste to implement shows they also aren't willing to own the fallout before the election. If it were actually implemented now, we'd be looking at ethnic cleansing live on CNN.
Even trump has to understand the optics that has.

Jared Kushner Says Hes Read 25 Books On The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
The architect of Trumps new Middle East peace plan got some sarcastic pats on the back for his boast.

Jared Kushner, who crafted President Donald Trumps controversial Middle East peace plan, said hes read 25 books about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The presidents senior White House adviser and son-in-law told Sky News Arabia Wednesday about the work hes put in to develop the proposal for the region.
Ive been studying this now for three years, Kushner said. Ive read 25 books on it, Ive spoken to every leader in the region, Ive spoken to everyone whos been involved in this.
Trump unveiled his Middle East peace plan on Tuesday, with Israels Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu by his side. The plan calls for the creation of a State of Palestine with its capital in parts of east Jerusalem, while recognizing Israeli sovereignty over major settlements in the West Bank. The announcement was criticized for lacking in Palestinian representation and favoring Israeli priorities, and was immediately rejected by Palestinian leaders.
Kushner, a 36-year-old former real estate developer, is married to Trumps elder daughter, Ivanka. Hes taken point on the Trump administrations efforts to resolve the conflict in the Middle East, despite having no prior experience in foreign policy.
His remarks on Wednesday drew sarcastic congratulations from Twitter users.
If only someone had thought of this before! I mean, other people read 23 books, some people read 24 books. I heard of one guy who read 26 book But only Jared Kushner had the vision to read *25 books.* https://t.co/WHWUnBj00V

Its actually kind of sad Kushner even thinks this is impressive. This might make someone knowledgeable on a hobby level, but for actually policy is extremely amateurish. This doesnt even get into the reality of which books may matter more than quantity. https://t.co/I2Cv9UY5PJ

Ill believe that Jared Kushner is growing into his role as a White House staffer when he no longer thinks reading 25 books is a big friggin deal. https://t.co/1dnIrUcFZP

I wish I could say what the point of all this was, but i really have no idea. Just theater i guess.
The international community should be promoting two things; Palestinian elections and after that a return to negotiations, the Clinton parameters are as good a starting point and anything else.

the Trump Crime Family? All this guy has ever known was real-estate and publishing, and he pretty much fucked up everything he's ever touched in those industries too. How could they even think some little punk-ass bimbo like Kushner could pull off a solution in the middle-east when even the most experienced statesmen and women have been unable to do so?
God, I think I am going to go watch The Twilight Zone on Hulu tonight so I can feel somewhat normal again.
