Vice President Mike Pence Called Back To White House, Cancels NH Event

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) — Vice President Mike Pence was set to speak about the opioid crisis in New Hampshire on Tuesday, but the event was abruptly canceled.

An official close to Pence told CNN that there is no emergency, and “the VP was called back to the White House but no cause for alarm.”

A spokeswoman for Pence tweeted that “something came up that required the VP to remain in Washington, DC.”

CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller reports that officials are not offering more details about the cancellation, but say it’s “not health related to the Pres or VP or national security related.”

And trump could step down if elected to make her president. He would then have protection, because he doesn't trust Pence. That's maybe why he took her to the G20 meeting. Note: I have no idea if Pence was going to land there -- I just read this in a comment on another site.

POST UPDATE:

Pease AFB does seem to host senatorial and Presidential planes, and it is only 45 miles from Manchester, NH, where Pence was to speak. So it seems possible to me that his flight was to land there, and because of fear of an active shooter(which turned out to be false), his trip was canceled.

Still, I want to see Dump in real time.
