(15,601 posts)Watch what they do, not what they say...if they were the most scared of Biden, he would have been smeared with scandals and memes for months already.
Which Dem candidates have been the targets of most RWNJ smears? From what I can see, it's Harris and Warren and Sanders.

(14,307 posts)thus the fear, which I think is genuine.
He was a little too handsy, he once failed to attribute a quote in a speech, he made Anita Hill uncomfortable. I think thats really all they have to work with.
On the plus side, hes a respected leader who can shore up our allies and restore faith in America. Darn right they fear him.

(46,088 posts)Biden won the VP debates both with Sarah Palin and then Paul Ryan. Presentation, facts, demeanor.
Trump can't get away with his antics if he's against Joe Biden.

(6,228 posts)Not only can Biden take it to trump, he would be supported by the majority of voters. This isn't about who I like or who you like. This is about who can win. I wish folks would wake up.

(11,518 posts)What we need to be looking at is which candidate can use the bully pulpit to kick repub ass and get bills passed.
Many voters seem to forget that it's Congress who writes laws, not the President. The most progressive candidate for President doesn't mean a thing if we can't get a good healthcare bill, for instance, through the House and Senate. A good President will know how to pressure Congress to pass progressive legislation - THAT is the person we need. Joe Biden, IMO, may actually fit that bill.

(2,227 posts)which they are extremely good at doing.
If they are pushing Biden as "the one", that means they already have a well-thought out plan of attack.
I like Biden, but he would not be my choice. If the American people (on the whole) are looking for "change in Washington", selecting "more of the same" is not the way to do it.
Although I voted for Bernie in the NY primary, as a protest vote to the Democratic Party that we need to get back to the basics, I wholeheartedly supported Hillary in the general.
She was robbed, and is, in my opinion, the real President in exile, right now. She won by three million votes. Cheating to win the electoral college invalidates that result. (If the Russians hacked into state voter databases and election systems, you can bet they did something while they were in there. They weren't just browsing.)
The whole presidential election should be invalidated due to turdface's cheating. That would also mean that every decision turdface made while in office is also invalid and must be reversed. (Unfortunately the Democratic Party has a hard time even pronouncing the word impeachment, much less addressing the fact that turdface, Putin, and the Republicans, in fact, enacted a coup. All Americans involved should rot in jail.)
But at this point, we need to look forward, and not make the mistake of "more of the same".
So I feel Hillary, Joe and Bernie need to step aside for the good of the country.
As I opined, if they want Biden as the Dem candidate, they have a reason. We shouldn't give it to them.

(14,173 posts)It would immediately give stature to whomever is the nominee. He'd rub off on whomever that was. And give a credence to the leadership experience.
