Trump gives himself an A-plus on presidency: 'Can I go higher than that?'

Source: The Hill

BY AVERY ANAPOL - 11/18/18 09:42 AM EST

President Trump on Sunday gave himself an “A-plus” on his presidency, but questioned whether he could get an even higher rating.

“Look, I hate to do it, but I will do it, I would give myself an A-plus,” he told Fox News’s Chris Wallace. “Is that enough? Can I go higher than that?”

Trump has repeatedly given himself high marks on his presidency. In April, he also gave himself an A-plus, and last year, rated himself a “10” on his handling of the 2017 hurricanes in Puerto Rico.

Trump’s interview with Wallace aired Sunday, the day after Trump visited California amid several major wildfires and after a deadly shooting at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks.

Trump says he doesn't want to hear audio of Khashoggi killing 'because it's a suffering tape'

BY BRETT SAMUELS - 11/18/18 09:40 AM EST

President Trump said Sunday he doesn't want to listen to an audio recording that purportedly depicts the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi because it's "a suffering tape."

"We have the tape. I don’t want to hear the tape. No reason for me to hear the tape," Trump said in an interview with "Fox News Sunday."

Asked why, Trump said "because it’s a suffering tape."

"It’s a terrible tape," he added. "I’ve been fully briefed on it. There’s no reason for me to hear it."

The president said he knows everything about the tape because of briefings, and described it as "very violent, very vicious and terrible."

Tops in corruption, tops in a toxic blend of ignorance and stupidity....

I would give trump an A+++++ on ensuring that he will go down in history as absolutely the worst president of all time, worst that is even remotely possible. He gets his A+ on performance only in Seinfeld's Bizarro world!

on (don't remember his name) to talk about how presidents can grow in the job and become more empathetic, feel the sorrow of the country, etc. Trump, of course, is incapable of this, but the guest used George W and his response to 9-11 to show how one becomes the president. He actually said, "This is the moment when Bush became our president." In particular he meant the moment when Bush was standing on the rubble with a bullhorn. Blah, blah. I've probably explained this poorly, but I hope you get the idea. Turned me off big time!

To this day that subject, as you know, cannot be touched in any way that doesn't practically deify Bush.

In much the same way the Reichstag fire was used to deify another despot from the past - until Germany learned that he and his toadies had set it to begin with. As anyone minimally observant could have told them.

It appears to me that he overshot the message and embraced a religion of superiority and Dunning Kruger Effect.

1. He is 100% closed to any thoughts other than his own. He will not accept or be swayed by facts, criticism, or persuasion in any way shape or form. Crystal clear now that he must be impossible to deal with.

2. I have often thought that Trump's sham press conferences by the helicopters were designed to help him say whatever he wanted to say because we, the public, can not hear the question. Today, when talking about Acosta...he said he could minimize him by not turning the camera on him, cutting out his airtime. Now I am convinced that his helicopter conferences are designed. Why the press doesn't set up a mic is a total mystery to me.

He'll never stop the bullshit lies, even though he KNOWS they are lies.

My job involves having a set amount of work completed by a certain date. I've never, ever missed a deadline, even if it meant working (unpaid) overtime. That being the case, I'd rate myself A+ on making my deadlines. I don't think that would make me a narcissistic douchebag.

In Trump's case, though, he's definitely a narcissist and a douchebag. His time in office has been objectively awful by any metric.
