His brother Billy was only 51. Because of that, the former president is examined and tested frequently. He discusses that in his autobiography.

I'm sure it'll be a doozy, they're being classless of course.

I like McCain's remark. Quite nice and very classy.

My siblings and I are registered with the program. We lost our Dad and paternal Grandfather to the disease. Lots of progress since my Dad passed in 2004. I wish the best to Senator Reid.

I wonder if Keith Lillimoe is still performing this surgery there?

My father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January of 2000. His first comment was, "so much for clean living." He, too was operated on at Johns Hopkins, but it was too late. He lasted until November 27th, something no one thought he would do. He was just completely determined to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary, which he barely did.

It is one of the most evil forms of cancer, since by the time it is diagnosed, it is usually too late to do anything about it.

my father died of pancreatic cancer. We knew he was sick for 2 weeks, only 14 days from the pain and jaundice to death. My brothers and I were all under 20, it was a blow. BAD stuff.

6 years was not long ago, it is really still fresh pain for you. It is a horrible disease. I was very ill 3 years ago, GI issues and they could not figure out what was wrong. I was petrified it was pancreatic cancer, the pain was horrible. It took them 2 months to agree to look at my pancreas. Thankfully what I had was bad but nothing even close to that. Whew, it was scary.

I am so sorry about your dad.
