Stocks fell sharply in volatile trading Monday, extending a steep sell-off from the previous session.

The Dow closed 1,175 points lower after briefly declining more than 1,500 points, posting its biggest single-day point loss ever. The 30-stock index also broke below 25,000 and erased its 2018 gains.

The S&P 500 pulled back 4.1 percent. The broad index had traded positive earlier on Monday as the tech sector briefly rose. The S&P 500 also traded down more than 5 percent from an all-time high set last month and broke below its 50-day moving average, a key technical level.

The Nasdaq composite declined 3.8 percent after rising as much as 0.5 percent. Earlier gains in Apple and Amazon helped the tech-heavy index trade off its lows.

Uh oh, time to blame Obama, or the deep state. I am pretty certain Donald Trump will not be taking credit for this drop. His supporters likely will not give him the blame for it either. I guess the stock market just became a member of the deep state. Maybe we are going back to the time with the economic number were all fake and were just an effort to make President Obama look good.

especially in view of the accomplishments that this administration is able to pull off (not hardly any). Hang in there! If any of you taken the money and ran (you should have some money off the table during last six months, park into cash at least until things calm down).

Unfortunately (hopefully not), some will run for the hills and cause additional downturns.

Keep in mind, this Dude has been bankrupt at least six times.

I believe he lost it all in 1987... His only comment was the only reason he survived is the banks couldn't afford for him to go broke as they had financed it all.

I had to pull some money from my elderly parents accounts just today to pay for per-arangement expenses. (They are both in their 80', and poor health.) You can't have any money if you go into long term care, and this needed paying.

Damn might have know.

MAGA!
