WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday said he plans to take up healthcare, infrastructure and welfare reform issues soon after Republicans tax overhaul is finalized, which the party has pledged to complete by the end of the year.
Well be submitting plans on healthcare, plans on infrastructure and plans on welfare reform, which is desperately needed in this country, soon after taxes, he told reporters at the White House ahead of a meeting with his Cabinet secretaries.

(5,730 posts)much to lose (investments gone bad, sunken losses), to change in the face of facts. It would be a rejection of their culture, manliness, family values, etc. I think the Country Music artists may have a lot of power to lead us out of this, but noone wants to be the Dixie Chicks.

(5,730 posts)I'm not a big country music fan, but that is what most Repubs listen to.
As one of my friends said, who never listens to country, when we were watching the big Dem celebrity concert the night before the election, they need Garth Brooks.

(128,979 posts)There is no "welfare" left. That pretty much went away in the '90s. I expect they really mean now getting rid of TANF and SNAP. The FARM bill is up for decimation at the end of September 2018.

(10,021 posts)Not much left for the public. There will be less money from less taxes paid, middle class will not be able to make up the difference, so more cuts will be essential.
Unaffordable healthcare, privatized infrastructure, corporate welfare.
