Dressage struggles for respect

However, while Hester's home island of Sark has seen its only postbox painted gold, some of his fellow Channel Island sportsmen seem yet to be enthused.

Cricketer Jamie Nussbaumer tweeted: "Dressage is just not a sport."

Nussbaumer was not alone, among those who have represented Guernsey in the World Cricket League, to express some cynicism after the win.

Ross Kneller used hashtags to imply that dressage was the "worst Olympic event" and that its participants were "born with silver spoon[s]" in their mouths.

The article doesn't specifically mention Ann Romney, but it's hard to believe that last commenter didn't have her at the back of his mind somewhere.

except at least more love is put into dog shows that dressing up a horse.. zzzzzzz like say a Beagle winning. verses a mop. not to put the mop down. prefer short haired hounds thank you... Nude mud wrestling is a bigger sport than this

with a history of being open to gay males is considered a non sport. Somehow I don't find it a coincidence.
