Trump once summoned Priebus to kill a fly in Oval Office: report
Source: The Hill
President Trump reportedly once summoned former White House chief of staff Reince Priebus to kill a fly in the Oval Office during a meeting, according to a Friday report.
A source told The Washington Post that once during an Oval Office meeting, a fly began buzzing around Trumps head, distracting him. Trump eventually summoned Priebus and told him to kill the fly. As a senior White House staffer, the chief of staff would not ordinarily be tasked with such matters.
The Post reports that anecdote was just one way the relationship between Trump and Priebus became fractured by the end. Trump announced Priebus' resignation on Friday night.
A senior White House official told the newspaper that Trump often referenced Priebus comments after the infamous Access Hollywood interview with Trump surfaced. Priebus, as head of the Republican National Committee, said at the time Trump that should drop out of the presidential race.

(15,696 posts)...that it took almost all day to film that scene, in the original film, when the fly/guy was trapped in the spiderweb, yelling, "HelpMe! Help Me!" He said they were cued by the tiny little voice, and they couldn't stop laughing. He said to watch the film and see if we could tell that they barely got the thing filmed.
Why am I not surprised that killing a fly is beneath the trumpster fire?

(130,142 posts)But I always thought that scene in the original was scary as hell when I was a kid because the pleading was so mournful!
Even looking at it now, it's still pretty rough.

(959 posts)the daily humiliations and degradations that Dump serves in the WH every day would astonish all of us. This is no doubt just a small appetizer. Having seen his actions in public, the private Dump is probably horrific. Makes you wonder about Melania, and what she has/does deal with. Anyone who is unfortunate enough to spin in his orbit gets burned badly.

(5,101 posts)I agree that distractors must be discarted.
The question is wich from Trump or the fly was distracting the other?
Any fly with a little sense of self-respect (and self-instinct preservation) would never have approched Trump.
To conclude, in my humble opinion, it was not the fly that should have been removed...
