GOP Rep. Can't Recall Any Bill 'More Universally Detested' Than AHCA

Source: Talking Points Memo

By ESME CRIBB Published MARCH 20, 2017, 11:04 AM EDT

Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) said Monday that he can't think of any legislation proposed during his time in Congress that has been "more universally detested" than House Republicans' bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

"While I've been in Congress, I can't recall a more universally detested piece of legislation than this GOP health care bill," Amash tweeted.

Amash faced questions about the repeal from constituents at a town hall during the congressional recess in January. At that event, he advocated for a conditional state-by-state repeal of Obamacare to be activated only once state legislatures passed their own health care legislation to replace it.

In March, Amash said that House Republican leadership was trying to "ram" the repeal bill through Congress. "The problem actually is that they’re not working with Democrats," he said.

His idea is just as bad. We'd still be fucked, but instead of national repukes fucking us it would be state repukes.

His existence offends them on a personal level and they are on a quest to expunge anything related to Obama, because he is Obama.

They're so hung up on Obama hate they wrote this piece of shit to spite #44.

They're so blinded by that hate the legislation they came up with punishes GOP voters far more than it punishes liberals.

Damn fools, the lot of them.

The health insurance industry just used 'em as tools to push their agenda, as they want to completely have their way.

So there is nothing to suggest that they will not all fall in line and vote for this abomination.
