Christie throws his hat in the ring for RNC chair

Source: Politico

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is expressing interest in becoming chairman of the Republican National Committee.

On Thursday morning, Christie told senior members of Donald Trump’s presidential transition team that he is interested in the post, according to three sources familiar with the talks.

The governor, a longtime supporter of Trump, has lately had a rocky relationship with the president-elect’s transition team. Christie had been overseeing the transition but was booted from the post last month in favor of Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

Christie’s prospects for a job in the Trump administration have dimmed in recent weeks. Yet he has downplayed interest in a position, saying that he intends to serve out the remainder of his term as governor, which expires in January 2018.

After all, he prosecuted Kushner's Dad. I think they have been waiting a long time for their revenge.

What constitutes "longtime" in Politico's eyes?

Just like they love the idea of giving a job to David Petraeus.

The GOP loves to point out how they can get away with anything because they are the conservatives.

The worst example of this is they way that George W. Bush gave a top job to John Poindexter, the worst offender of all during Iran-Contra, after 9-11.

you can be pretty sure that my wife and kids would make it very clear to me that I was humiliating myself and that I should/must just stop. First off, all three are smarter than I am (they really are, but they don't need to point it out so much). And, second, they are not yes people. If I'm fucking up, they say so. I swear, they would all divorce me if I had humiliated myself as much as Christie has over the past few years.
